The programme’s range comes from the recitation of mystical, spiritual poems in English. The poems are deepened by the evocative, atmospheric music of Jörg Heinrich and Maroula Blades and given visual form through the sensitive slide art of Wolfgang Reichert. Through the expressive power of her voice and her performance, Maroula Blades succeeds in casting a spell over the audience.
