Become a Patron

Since 1988, more than 1,500 young artists from all over the world have lived and worked at the Löwenpalais and shown their work: painters and sculptors, writers, musicians, dancers and performers. A patronage makes such a year possible. Five studios in the house are reserved for patrons.

Two ways to your artist

• Your own artist: Do you already know a young talent – from your family, your company or your circle of friends? Then give them a year at the Löwenpalais. The only condition: they are no older than 38, as our statutes commit us to supporting young artists.
• Our suggestions: Would you like to give your support and rely on our experience since 1988? Then we will introduce you to three to five young talents, and you decide whom you would like to accompany.

How the patronage works

1. For one year, your patronage covers the studio with living space, the working materials and, at the end, the big evening at the Löwenpalais: an exhibition, reading, concert or performance.
2. If you wish, you can also support your artist personally and, as a token of thanks, receive works from their year to the value of your support. For writers, musicians or dancers, the thank-you can also be a private reading or performance.

What you experience as a patron

• Personal encounters, studio visits and rehearsals
• A report with photographs every three months
• Your artist’s big evening at the Löwenpalais
• Your name on the studio, if you wish
• Once a year, a festive gala dinner for all patrons at the Löwenpalais

A patron gives more than money

They stand behind a talent with their name and their personality. That is why we speak of patronage.
