The exhibition “Forum Berlin” brought together works by numerous young artists living and working in Berlin. Their different working techniques and artistic disciplines made for a varied and exceptionally exciting engagement between viewer and artwork. The range of work on show extended from the talented new photographer Corinna Rosteck and the 23-year-old video artist Sandra Becker, who had already attracted considerable attention with notable exhibitions in Germany and abroad, by way of a work by Gerald Uhlig depicting several scenes from different plays, to conceptual artists such as Sylvia Breitwieser and Anja Knecht, who stood out from the many works in this exhibition above all for their use of materials and the recording technique of the work they showed.

This exhibition promoted in particular dialogue between the artists themselves and the many visitors. For the artists, the opportunities for exchanging experience, for expert discussions and for meeting the public meant a way of taking stock of their position.
