21 December 2012

Musical Christmas Celebration “Winter 1812 Russia”

Doors open from 6 pm: a music installation on themes of the end of the world, with an opportunity to view the Stiftung Starke’s Christmas Exhibition; this is followed by The End of the World 1812 (“Weltende 1812”): Napoleon in the Russian winter, a musical-dramatic sequence of scenes (premiere). The crowning musical and culinary finale: the Royal British Sun Ball, filled with sun-dried fruits, is set alight with the spirit of wine and sugar cane and passed around again to glorious songs of the Victorian age. After this Royal Christmas Party, the end of the world can safely come!
