Artist in Residence 2024

Dear friends of the arts,

I am already looking forward to welcoming you in large numbers once again to the Löwenpalais in Grunewald. After three years in the USA, the Starke family is back in Berlin all year round, and we are sincerely delighted to be taking an active part in Berlin’s cultural life again.

As a prelude to the many exhibitions that now follow, I would like to introduce you to our current Artists in Residence:

The artist couple Lex Rütten & Jana Kerima Stolzer create breathtaking video installations. They combine organic materials with sophisticated video art, mostly relating to nature – a contrast that could not be stronger. A series of exhibitions in the finest art institutions, already breathtaking, shows that the two are on their way to international fame.

The artist Mina Lindschau is a master student of Markus Lüpertz and captivates with her poetic painting, which was also allowed to grace our invitation card.

Our long-standing friend Moon Suk, a multimedia artist who has also brought our garden to life with her work, is now represented with her latest large-format paintings, and we can certainly hope for a performance from her too.

The exhibition takes place as part of our open studios, where visitors also have the opportunity to visit the artists directly in their working environment.

So tomorrow promises to be very exciting.

With best wishes

Jörg Starke
