“Poster Girl”

Ladies and gentlemen,

we warmly invite you to the opening of the exhibition
POSTER GIRL by Yelizavyeta!

on Thursday, 26 July 2018 at 6 pm

at the Löwenpalais, Koenigsallee 30–32, 14193 Berlin.

The artist has an unmistakable visual language. In her portraits she creates a fascinating world of colour dynamics through impressive three-dimensional explosions of colour. She is one of the rising stars of the art world.

The series of paintings POSTER GIRL pays tribute to well-known and remarkable women of our time. The hair stands in contrast to the realistic depiction of the facial features. Luminous colours and unexpected compositions turn the picture, through their sheer power, towards abstraction. With her paintings she wants to touch the viewer and to give Pop Art a personal character as well. That is why the mood of her pictures is affirmative and optimistic – a homage to life and femininity. As an artist, she sees herself as having a responsibility to keep up with the times. More than that: to be a step ahead of them. “I want to advance portrait painting and Pop Art in general, to recognise developments and to take on current challenges.” She believes in women and in feminism. Her pictures are colourful and many-faceted, because every woman is unique and wonderful in her own way.
