Theme of the performance:

“When someone enters their thirtieth year, people will not stop calling them young. But they themselves grow unsure; it seems to them that they no longer have the right to pass themselves off as young...”

With cheerful scenes, poetic images and profound insights, Ingeborg Bachmann’s text describes a woman’s turbulent thirtieth year. It carries the audience away with it

to Rome, Venice and Vienna, from a hot summer into a storm-tossed autumn, into the cold of a suddenly lonely winter, into the raging passion of
spring. The second part of the evening is Thomas Pluch’s one-act play “For Peace of Mind” (“Zur Beruhigung”). Krista Stadler is successful, a doctor, comfortably off, and surely she could be happy too! Well, since her divorce she has been living with her mother again, and her new boyfriend will not leave his wife... But is that any reason to despair straight away? – Yes, Krista decides one day. Or is it all, when you think about it, really a laughing matter after all?
