Music from Three Continents
Proyecto Levante
25 November 2010

“Proyecto Levante” borrows not only its name from the easterly Mediterranean wind, but also its qualities: warm, passionate, mysterious. And that is exactly what the music of Fernando Dimeo (vocals and guitar) from Argentina, Ayo Nelson-Homiah (percussion) from Gambia and Benjamin Kiersch (bass guitar, flute, vocals) from Germany is like. A fusion of musical genres, styles and rhythms from three continents. The music is an irresistible mixture of tango and bolero, cueca and ballad, rumba and chanson, accompanied by African drums. The result is a unique, explosive and romantic combination that gets everyone present dancing.
