Concert “Inner Workings Trio”
31 August 2006
The Inner Workings Trio consists of Janice Jackson (soprano), Rose Bolton (violin and electronics) and Lukas Pearse (double bass & electronics). In North America the individual members of the trio have already made a name for themselves. Together, the trio allows them to give free rein to their full talent.
The young trio brings to life music that seamlessly combines tradition and imagination, jazz and classical. Janice Jackson in particular is already well known to European orchestras (cf. http://www.tidsrum.com/janice/), and in this sense her experience in classical opera plays an essential part in the creative diversity of the trio.
To complement this promising evening, the young Berlin composer Michel Ackermann is collaborating with the trio. Michel Ackermann’s work spans a range from songs and pop music to experimental classical music.
