Young Art III, “Digital”

Video art, new media, interactive IT art and communication design

In the series “Young Art III” (“Junge Kunst III”), the Stiftung Starke presents at the Löwenpalais current works by the media artist team Born/Heine as well as digital works by students of the FHTW, communication design degree programme, who study digital media under Thomas Born and Anna Heine or have studied in the media design programme at the bildo akademie. On show are digitally processed photographs, interactive installations, videos and computer prints. The students’ works are presented partly as wall pieces and partly on monitors, and deal on the one hand with xenophobia and racism, and on the other with the growing alienation of human beings through the digital world, so-called cyborgisation.
